| Established in 2001, HP Designs came into being as the result of the collaboration between Frank Hyatt and Gene Plummer, long-time friends and business partners. Seven years prior to their establishing HP Designs, Frank and Gene were the owners and operators of Elaine Magnin Needlepoint, the oldest and most storied needlepoint shop in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, HP Designs produces an immense variety of top-quality, hand-painted needlepoint designs. As well, we take pride in being the exclusive purveyors of hand-poured lacquer boxes, created especially for the display of fine needlework. Special Note: Twice a year, we make an exhaustive search for antique benches and footstools. These pieces are carefully hand-picked, not only for their uniqueness and beauty but also for their suitability to needlepoint. Be sure to watch the website for these superb accessories, because most of them quickly sell out. Our design collection comprises more than 400 canvases. On a regular basis, though, we cull the entire line, and during the course of a given year we add more than 100 brand new designs. Another feature of HP Designs may interest you: most of our large designs can be painted on either 13M or 18m at no extra cost to the customer.
